Rebuilding flight listing for conversion

Principal Product Designer → DS Lead · 2026 · Travel / MENA

End-to-end ownership of a new flight listing experience — cards, filtering, and landing-page infrastructure — designed for dense travel data and dual-script markets.

Listing is where intent becomes a booking — or an abandonment. For almatar’s Flights business, the flight listing page had to carry dense information without punishing the customer for shopping carefully. It also had to work in Arabic and English, on every platform the company ships.

Context

As Principal Product Designer I owned critical booking surfaces: checkout thinking, cancellation and refund clarity, fare selection, and the listing experience itself.

What I owned end-to-end

  • A new flight listing page — including redesigned flight cards and filtering
  • Landing page templates and a builder for marketing and acquisition surfaces
  • Close partnership with the emerging design system so product and system did not diverge

Before/after screens, fare selection, filters, and the bilingual mobile flow are password-protected.
