Byggmakker B2B — MyPages, projects, and a new way of building
Senior Product Designer · 2026–Present · B2B / Nordics
Focused on Byggmakker B2B: the MyPages portal and project tools for trade customers — plus an AI-first prototype loop that lets stakeholders and users react to working software, with Figma reserved for handoff.
In 2026 my day-to-day focus moved to Byggmakker B2B (Kesko Group). I no longer design K-Rauta or K-Bygg product unless a feature is shared across the group. Almost all of the work is for trade customers — builders, carpenters, and companies who run real jobs, not weekend DIY.
This engagement sits under the same NDA as the wider Kesko work. The public frame below is intentional; product detail, screens, and prototype links unlock with the shared case-study password.
The process change
The old loop was familiar: research → initial design → rounds of changes → approval → prototype → handoff. It looked rigorous. It was slow. Stakeholders often reacted to static pictures, not to working behaviour. I pushed management to invert it.
I start in Cursor and Claude: logic first, then a working prototype. We put that prototype in front of stakeholders in the same meeting — and in front of real users as soon as we can. Feedback lands on something they can click. Figma comes last, as the developer handoff layer, not as the place where ideas are born.
What unlocks
MyPages and project-page narrative, live prototype links, and the asset list for screenshots. Same password as the other Kesko Group cases.
